Update - Nov 2025

• Try the new Set Manager for quickly naming and numbering your sets.
• Use the Set Manager to copy colors or headshots from one card to all cards in that set.
• Added a "bottom shadow" option for aspect and identity cards that use it (like on the bottom of Justice cards).
• Card colors should match the colors you selected much better now!
• Added an "aspect dots" option for player side schemes. Did you know there are 2 dots patterns for player side scheme cards -- one for identity and campaign cards and another for aspect cards? Now you can switch between them.
• Fixed up some holes in the player side scheme background images.
• Your "advanced edit" choice is saved between sessions.
• Fixed issues when zooming sideways (scheme) cards.

Update - Oct 2025 - third update

• Added an "advanced edit" mode to hide infrequently used fields. Tick the box to show them again.
• You can change the color of the promo hero identity traits text
• When you're changing a color, the card will show a preview of that new color as you change it.
• Moved the color picker to the bottom of the form so the more useful fields appear higher up.
• You can expand/collapse the color picker.
• Fixed an issue where headshot uploads would stop working if you upload the same one multiple times
• If there's an HTML error in a field, you'll see it so you can fix it.
• If there's an HTML error in the card title, it won't mess up the loaded cards list.

Update - 2025 October - second update

• Shrank the traits font in the card rules area to better match real cards.
• Headshot images now have zoom, and they appear in their original aspect ratio. Any cards that have headshot images should appear the same but the image aspect ratio will match the original image. This was a huge change, so let me know if you find anything broken with headshots.
• Resource icons will always sit on top of the front photo layer.
• Player side scheme quotes will always appear below the rules text.
• And this message won't appear after you close it until there's a new update.

Update - 2025 October

• Added lightbox coloring to identity and alter ego cards.
• You can choose between jpg and png image format.
• You can add mirror or stretch bleed to your downloaded images.
• Fixed "download all images" where it would have missing background images sometimes.
• On promo cards, you can move the author/copyright line so it's vertical along the right side.
• Promo card author/copyright text has a black stroke like printed promo cards.
• On promo cards, you can overwrite the HP and HAND text for non-English languages.
• Fixed some issues with the auto font sizer and promo cards.
• Also a lot of other small fixes to promo cards like transparent text issues and top layer issues.
• There's a toggle to slide up the rules text if the Traits are empty so you can use the whole text box. This might break some cards (especially supports), so tick that box first if you see an issue with rules layouts.
• Many small fixes to many card template images. I hate photoshop.

Update - 2025 July

• You can change the quote text size and line height, or make those match the rules in a click. If you change the quote sizes then use the auto-fit rules button, it will fit the rules text without changing the quote sizes.
• Added a . List button for easier list creation like in Affairs of State. Note that this will look weird on cards with slanted text boxes (like Event or Alter-ego), so use a . for those like Adam Warlock.
• Increased the size of some text boxes in the form to make editing easier.
• The copyright/author text color can be toggled white or black for those bright background colors.
• Fixed an issue where edited font sizes would not load correctly.

Update - 2025 June

• Inline text editing. Most text on the card can be edited directly in the preview. Just mouse over it and click when it's highlighted. Not everything can be edited this way, but many parts can! Hover over 'Highlight editable parts' above the card preview to view all the editable sections.
• Manage multiple cards at once. You can load, save, and download images of multiple cards at once. Switch between them at any time. And you can copy a card too!
• You can tweak the rules font size, line height, and new line size.
• Added "center" to the font options when editing rules text.
• When you click a text field, the field will stay under your mouse cursor when the special character keyboard appears (instead of jumping away from your mouse).
• On scheme cards (rotated), the up/down and left/right photo controls are labeled correctly. (Yes, left and right are backwards when it rotates. Deal with it.)
• On player side schemes, the headshot will automatically rotate "up". You may need to hit the Reset position buttons so it appears in the right spot.
• Known issues: if you use just a s in an ATK/THW/SCH value, it will look pushed to the right in the preview, but it will look fine when you download the image.

• Fixed new line spacing problems in some browsers

• Added a rotate toggle for scheme cards to make image positioning easier

Update - 2025 Apr

• Villain cards will have the stage (I,II,III...) in the json/png filename.
• You can toggle between circle and star splash on hero cards.

Update - 2025 Mar

• You can edit villain stage as text - I, II, III, A, B...
• Added headshot up/down and left/right position controls.
• You can change the downloaded image dimensions. It's set to 1500px by 2100px by default.
• Fixed the copyright line not appearing on Main Scheme A and B cards when you download the image
• Fixed the formatting when there's only a star on THW/SCH/REC values
• Fixed a bug where you load the card from JSON then the background photo would move to the wrong left/right position or have the wrong zoom level.

• You can overwrite ATK/THW/SCK/DEF/REC with anything. ATQ anyone?
• Fixed saving/loading would break characters non-English characters like é.
• Fixed upgrade and attachment titles would shift left in the downloaded image.
• Fixed attachment stats layout would get messed up if it has one ATK or SCH bonus (but not both bonuses).
• Added a checkerboard background so you can see where the background image will go

Update - 2024 Oct 15

• Improved shadows and stroke on costs/atk/thw/etc everywhere, and touched up those font sizes too. Let me know how it looks.
• You can overwrite the card type like Resource or Alter-Ego on every card. Welcome non-English users!
• Fixed 1 leading in the Elektra mod font which caused 1s or 11 to have huge spacing.
• Some fixes and improvements to saving as image.

Update - 2024 Oct 13

So I think I'm done with this for a while. It's got everything I planned and a bit more. I have ideas for what I'll do next. For this tool, I am going to focus on fixes. No new stuff for a while.

• With this release, every standard format of every card type is available!
• Added the remaining "Cracks off" cards for encounter side schemes and obligations.
• You can toggle between the two Obligation layouts like Obligation - Fear of Kang (villain layout) versus Obligation - Anti-Hero Propaganda (campaign layout).
• And there are promo hero and alter-ego layouts too. They mostly work :) the transparent text is broken on downloads. I know. Don't message me about it.
• Zoom and pan sliders can now be set by entering a value
• Removed all the nonsense characters from filenames when you download the image or save json.
• Fixed boost stars showing up on villain and main scheme cards.
• When saving or loading, change → and — to <code>-</code> and &mdash; to prevent garbage characters from showing up.
• Fixed when saving a villain card image that background gradients would download with the colors reversed.

Update - 2024 Oct 11

• Turn "Cracks off" for encounter set versions of minions, environment, attachment, and treachery. Check out Advanced Glider.
• Improved mouseover effects when rolling over the color labels like "Outer Border" or "Left Color". Previously, this didn't work when you used black like Enraged Symbiote.
• The card sticks to the top as the page scrolls!
• Fixed Fit Rules Text for a couple of card types where it didn't work.

Update - 2024 Oct 10

• Light boxes for hero cards! Load Event - Call for Aid and Obligation - Worried Father and check the colors behind the title and rules text. Keep this off for identity cards, but keep it on for aspect cards or obligations.
• Fixes for Player Side Scheme headshots and resources like Player Side Scheme - Technovirus Purge.
• Fixes for main and side scheme threat formatting. See Main scheme B - The Rise of Red Skull
• Headshots are now sized to 240px instead of 300px. If you upload a headshot that's a different size, it will scale it correctly.
• Lots of updates to fonts everywhere. What you see should match much more closely with your final download.
• I replaced the color system with something more accurate. Let me know if any selected colors seem off.

2024 Oct 8

• Now with Player Side Schemes! Still work to do to improve it, but they are good enough for now.
• Fixed a few cards where you had to add &nbsp; in traits for proper formatting.
• Added examples for every card type.
• Try the "Fit Rules Text" button to resize really long rules that don't fit the card. Load Hero Identity - Adam Warlock example to see it in action.
